The Balinese Main Temple

This type of temple is a place of worship to God [Hyang Widhi] in various Prabawa or IstaDewata, by the Hindu people of Bali are Hindus but for all people regardless of where they originate.

The main temple or temple heaven universe has its own distinctive characteristics such as for example:

Territorial Temple

The territorial temple was built as a sacred place unit area (territory). The Functional Temple

Pura functional of this type have a special character that the community people as well as maintainer and penyiwinya pengempon, pengemong, and krama Pemaksan pungsional temple is concerned.   • Fishermen, fishing or netting fish in the sea ( Krama Bendega), has a bond yang cult called Pura Segara, in general is the beach where the boats docked.

Pura Kawitan (Temple of Origin)

Temple of this type has a character that is determined by the presence of ancestral ties / family tree, or lineage. The names of this temple is Pura Dadya, some residents of unity will form the Dadya temples Pura Panti, or until the temples Pura Paibon in-services training specific to a particular clan.
